As a university professor teaching graduate students in several universities, Dr. Edmonds has over 15 years of working experience for the University of Maryland System. She merged her experience in instructional system design (ISD) and her extensive research in organizational leadership to create customized training on "Followership." She has also worked as a consultant with public and private sectors, and government agencies. For her dissertation, Dr. Edmonds conducted a first time focus group study on the survivors of the 1978 Jonestown Massacre that took place in Guyanna using followership as a theoretical framework. Additionally, Dr. Edmonds continues to make presentations on her area of research, which focuses on "followership" and the various perspectives of leader-follower relationships. She has been recognized internationally for her research as winner of The Chair Academy 2018 Idahlynn Karre Exemplary Leadership Award (Team). Dr. Edmonds holds a doctorate from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES), a Master of Science from Johns Hopkins University-Carey Business School, and a Bachelor of Science degree from Bowie State University (BSU).
