I got my BSc in Economics in 1992, at the UFSM, Brazil; my MSc in Environmental Sciences/Management in 2000, at Wageningen University, Netherlands; and my doctoral degree in Forestry/Forest Management, in 2007, at the UFSM, Brazil. I have been working as a Professor in the Department of Economics of the UFSM, Brazil, since 1992. At present, I teach, at an undergraduate level, a few courses: Ecological Economics, Monetary Economics, Pollution Economics and Environmental Macroeconomics; in the Postgraduate Programme in Economics and Development, I am in charge of the course on Sustainability Economics. My research interests are in Ecological Economics, Environmental and Resource Economics, Environmental Input-Output Analysis and several fields related to economics and the environment.
