Adrian holds a PhD in Tourism Management awarded by the University of Westminster and is a Senior Lecturer in Aviation & Tourism at Buckinghamshire New University. He specialises in student employability in the area of travel and aviation and is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in the UK. His doctoral research focused on flagship developments and their role in the perception and experience of urban areas for tourism and culture using the case of London's Royal Opera House as a case study. This research has been published in a variety of academic platforms and has richly informed his lecturing practice in tourism and events. This practice is rooted in several years working in the hospitality industry as a customer care agent for the Royal Opera House and as a Resident Advisor at International Students House. Other reserach interests include hospitality services and the customer experience, urban cultural tourism and ethical practices in hospitality operations and culinary tourism.
