  I am a Research Assistant for the Department of Geomatics at the University of the West Indies (U.W.I), Saint Augustine Campus, Trinidad and Tobago. Having completed my Bachelors Degree in Geomatics Engineering (Hons) in 2017, I am now pursuing my PhD in Geoinformatics. The aim of my research is to investigate the dynamics of urban growth within a Caribbean city using Geoinformatics methods and techniques. The research is intented to add knowledge to the field of Geoinformatics in the Caribbean and facilitate better urban planning decisions and policies as it relates to sustainble development. For as long as I can remember, I have always believed in the practice of sustainable development with the largest weight being given to our environment. The reason being is that I have an immense amount of respect for our environment and a great love for nature.
