I am a medical sociologist with previous research on reproductive health behaviors, and a current research agenda focusing on adolescent, risky health behaviors. I currently have two ongoing projects - in the first, I work with a non-profit to establish partnerships with local high schools in Indiana to facilitate a personality-risk assessment geared towards reducing substance and alcohol abuse behaviors among 9th graders in Indiana high schools. In the second, I am a site coordinator for HOPE mentoring. I collaborate with colleagues from Indiana University Bloomington to recruit, train, and support undergraduate students as they mentor incarcerated youth in local juvenile correctional facilities.
