  Cora Fernandez is an Instructional Designer for the Florida International University (FIU) Online Department. She began her career at FIU in 2012 working as a Student Assistant, and later as the Undergraduate Office Specialist, and then the Writing and Rhetoric Specialist where she gained experience in the operational functions of the university. She received her Bachelor's in Elementary Education, and Master's in Curriculum and Instruction from FIU; and now, as an Instructional Designer, she researches emerging technologies to provide enhancements to web-based courses, and provides support to faculty with guidance for instructional design and best practices among other responsibilities.
