I am the founder and director of the Centre for the Study of Missing Persons, at the University of Portsmouth, UK. My research focuses on the subject of missing persons and includes research projects about a wide range of topics, including, people with dementia who go missing, stranger child abductions, and media coverage of missing person cases. I collaborate with academics, law enforcement agencies, and non-governmental organisations from the UK and internationally. In 2016, myself and Dr. Alys published an edited book titled, Missing Persons: A Handbook of Research.
