I began teaching communications and politics at universities in 2001. I published in a number of academic journals for the next few years until circumstances forced me to focus entirely on teaching. I received my PhD in 2007. I've taught thousands of students in my career thus far and developed successful techniques for communicating difficult concepts, particularly across cultural boundaries. As I begin to return to research and publication, I want this accumulated knowledge and practical skill to guide my interests.
