  Hafifa Shabaik is a doctorate-prepared registered nurse, with a background in acute inpatient psychiatry, behavioral health nursing, and community health. She is currently a postdoc fellow at the UCLA National Clinician Scholars Program and is a proud CDU nursing alum. Her current research examines the long-term health of resettled refugees and asylum seekers in the post-migration setting and has broad interests on topics of mental health outcomes, such as depression and psychological distress, the impact of racism and discrimination on health, and mental health care in the extra-clinical setting.
