  After my undergrad in Electronics and Communication from India, I did my MS in Electrical Engineering Systems from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. After that, I worked for an automotive consulting company named FEV for ~4 years working on control system software development and then on functional safety. Currently at Lyft, I've continued my journey in the safety engineering space. The most challenging part of my job is to define safety processes (both hardware and software) from scratch with no clear mandate on do's and dont's. I also hold an approved patent on Control Redundancy. I find the work I am currently doing at Lyft, i.e. defining system safety architecture for autonomous vehicles, extremely challenging and motivating. Even with a lot of work already put in place I feel there are still so many unknowns which makes me feel really passionate about my work.
