  I am interested in International Relations Theory and non-Western international relations. I have written papers about the Russo-Japanese war, Chile-Bolivia relations, and Cuba's foreign policy towards the Third World in the Cold War (co-authored with Dr German Alburquerque). My PhD dissertation aims to understand the relationship between Chile and China by applying poststructuralist discourse theory.
