Golnaz Bidabadi has more than 10 years of academic research and high-tech industry work experience in management, system engineering, and computer science software engineering. She has also been affiliated with and/or collaborated with some of the prominent US and EU universities including San Jose State University in California and University of Vienna as well as Vienna University of Economics and Business which is the largest European business school. After completing her bachelor of scinece in computer science, she joined the leading telecommunication service provider and system integration companies within EMEAR (Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Russia) region to familiarize herself with the local IT needs of the region and gain practical knowledge in IT management within the areas. While working in the region, she has successfully scaled the business of the firms using education to engage customers and sales workforce. Later, she started her Master studies majoring in Software Engineering at San Jose State University expecting to graduate in December 2018. Within the last year, she has set up a successful collaboration between academia and industry. Conducting research collaborating with San Jose State University, Cisco Systems, and Austrian universities on computational cognitive modeling of human needs satisfaction and AI/ML (Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning) Analytics. The results have been published as three academic papers. She applies a wide range of scientific approaches in her research from deep learning and predictive processing to knowledge management engineering and business intelligence analytics. She is also interested in the study of algorithmic biases and accountability. Beside her academic work, as part of her job at Cisco, she has developed and derived training strategy by assessing solution engineers' needs through various assessment methods, such as surveys, focus groups, and meeting with various functional leads. With her breadth of technical expertise and business knowledge, she has been able to develop a learning path for the Cisco solution engineers and technical architect to minimize their knowledge and skill gaps via hands-on technical and value-proposition training. She has then developed programs to educate 1000+ sales engineers on the latest Cisco Data Center, cloud, Analytics. switching, and compute technologies. Moreover, she has also provided leadership for the design, development, procurement, and implementation of numerous business enablement and product acceleration programs and projects. She has performed gap analysis and identified the training needs to bridge the knowledge gap of the Cisco solution engineers performing their job functions. Golnaz has extensive program and project management experience. She has worked with cross-functional teams and effectively communicated her views on various topics at multiple levels from upper management down to working technology professionals level. Golnaz has developed a reputation as a skilled business developement manager who has solid people and technical skills. She is the go-to person for underlying principles and concepts behind data scinece and knows how to couple such knowledge in practice to educate and enable system enginers and solution architects on the latest AI/ML technology, products, and solutions.
