  My research areas are Southern Cone literature, Orientalist writing practices, and the Argentine Mahyar, with publications dealing with Latin American literature, Orientalisms, and cultural hybridity. My current projects examen the Argentine Mahyar and its literary history, which I place in dialogue with Contemporary Arab-American writing. I am fluent in Spanish, English,and conversant in Portugues. Additional research languages include French and Arabic.
