  I am an art historian and curator with experience working with both historical and contemporary art collections, often focusing on artists of West Asian and North African descent. I have held fellowships and professional positions at a range of institutions including the International Center of Photography (New York), the Newark Museum (New Jersey), the Smithsonian (Washington D.C.), the Pitt Rivers (Oxford, UK), and others. With an academic background positioned between art history, anthropology, and area studies, I am interested in how radical curatorial practice and intervention can help reshape the role played by museums in the 21st century, challenge traditional classification systems, and allow for multivocality in place of singular narratives.
