  Dr Bourk is an Associate Professor at the Gulf University for Science and Technology in Kuwait where he has been a faculty member of the Mass Communications and Media Department for the past three years. He is co-editor of Communicating Science and Technology through Online Video: Researching a New Media Phenomenon (Routledge) with Bienvenido Leon, and author of Universal Service? Telecommunications Policy in Australia & People with Disabilities (TomW Communications). His research interests are framing and narrative analysis among interpretive communities, particularly how media and institutions socially construct complex and challenging issues.
