Tamar Salibian is a Media Studies PhD candidate in the Cultural Studies program at Claremont Graduate University. She has a background in the arts, with an MFA in Film/Video from CalArts and a BFA in Photography from MassArt. Tamar's dissertation explores issues of labor, surveillance, and power in the televisual text with an emphasis on reality television. In addition to her scholarly pursuits, she is a dance-fitness instructor in Los Angeles.
