I'm in the process of working on my manuscript "Pulling Down the House and Tearin Up the Yard: Constructing, Policing, and Containing Black Masculinity."My book is a cultural history on how the black press discursively constructed black masculinity from the 1920s to the 1960s. My areas of specialization include Twentieth- and Twenty-First Century History, African American History, and gender, race, sexuality, print culture, and citizenship
