I have been a lecturer of literature in English at the University of Barcelona since the academic year 2010, teaching courses devoted to Contemporary Fiction in English, Modernist and Postmodernist Literature in English, Medieval Literature, North American Contemporary Fiction, Shakespeare and Postcolonial Literatures, both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. I received my PhD degree from the University of Barcelona and I was awarded the European Doctorate Mention for my thesis "Deterritorialising Patriarchal Binary Oppositions: Deleuze, Woolf. Masculinities and Film Adaptation", after a year as a Visitor Researcher under the supervision of Dr Humm at the University of East London. My reserach has focused mainly on Modernist writers, Gender Studies, Contemporary British Fiction, Postcolonial Literature and the Philosophy of Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari. I am a member of the current consolidated research group Ratnakara with its current project "The Aesthetics of Remembering: Empathy, Identification, Mourning" funded by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitivenes (FFI2015-63739-P)
