  I am a college professor in a university in the Bicol region in the Philippines. I have a Master's Degree in Education major in English Language Teaching but decided to pursue another MA in Political Science. I am especially interested in political science reasearch at the local level because of the richness of data in the smaller political entities such as towns and cities that can contribute to the literature. I have been part of a research on the 2016 Philippine elections; it was spearheaded by the Australian National University and De la Salle University and I had the opportunity to write a chapter of the book based on that study. I am recently doing research on local electoral dominance.
