Abdie Kazemipur is professor of sociology and the Chair of Ethnic Studies at the University of Calgary, Canada. His research is on the integration of immigrants in western countries, with a particular focus on Canada and on Muslim immigrants. He is the author of The Muslim Question in Canada: A Story of Segmented Integration, which received the 2015 John Porter Award from the Canadian Sociological Association. He has also received the 2018 National Metropolis Researcher Award in recognition of his 20 years of contribution to immigration research.
