  Ma Rita Alfaro is a holder of a Bachelor's Degree in History with cognate in Anthropology and Spanish obtained from the University of the Philippines Diliman as well as a Bachelor of Laws Degree conferred by the Far Eastern University Manila Institute of Law. Her research interests include women and gender, criminality, penology, and human rights.  She is currently a lecturer of History and is pursuing a graduate degree in History.
