Shannon Pella is an assistant professor in the Teaching Credentials branch of the College of Education, at California State University, Sacramento where she teaches courses in English language development methods and academic literacy in the single subject program. She holds a PhD in Education from the University of California, Davis. Her research interests include language and literacy pedagogical development in practice-based, action research, and collaborative inquiry models in both teacher education and professional development.
