  Dr Mallica Mishra works as an independent development consultant based in Patna, Bihar, India. As an academician with over 10 years of experience , Dr Mallica Mishra has taught as Assistant Professor (Social Science) in the Department of Elementary Education, Delhi University. She has worked as Consultant with several national and international universities and organizations lik UNHCR and UNICEF on research and evaluation of issues of forced migration, education , gender and development. After a Convent school education from Notre Dame Academy, Patna, Dr Mishra completed her Bachelors in Political Science from Lady Shriram College for Women, Delhi University. She pursued her Masters in Sociology from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi and completed her M.PHIL and PHD in Sociology of Education also from Jawaharlal Nehru University. She was awarded a Post-doctoral research fellowship in International Migration by Centre for Development Studies, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerela in 2012. Dr Mishra was also awarded the Sarai-CSDS Independent Research Fellowship in 2006. Dr Mishra possess a deep commitmment and interest towards working on human rights related issues alongwith experience of working with a variety of stakeholders and national and international humanitarian organizations on such issues. Dr Mishra has several publications based on her research including a book titled 'Education of Tibetan Refugees in India : Culture, Education and Growing up in Exile' (Orient BlackSwan, 2014).
