  Born and raised in Mexico City, Amanda studied International Relations. She furthered her education in Los Angeles, CA where she obtained a Masters in Public Diplomacy from the University of Southern California. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at the University of Colorado, Boulder, where she is doing research on digital games as tools to foster empathy for social change. This is part of a larger line of research about entertainment-education.
