  Lena Dubinsky is a designer, researcher and lecturer in the Ceramic and Glass Department of Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem. Her work focuses on projects that explore the relationships between human and human, as well as human and the environment. It is included in international exhibitions and collections. Additionally, she curates exhibitions concerning craft in the modern world. As an educator in Bezalel she focuses on design oriented problem solving for sociological and ecological issues. She was the Head of Product Design Specialization in the Ceramic and Glass Design Department between 2008 and 2014. Since 2014 she has held a position of Senior Researcher and the head of the Research Cluster Group, "Material Design," in the Bezalel Research and Innovation Authority. She has been a guest lecturer at numerous institutions in Israel and Europe. Lena earned a bachelor's degree at Bezalel Academy, and finished her master's degree with honors at Tel Aviv University. Her thesis discussed the aesthetic and political implications of city plans developed by the Jerusalem Committee, which was formed to modernize architecture and municipal design in Jerusalem after 1967. At present she is a doctoral candidate at the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School for Advanced Studies in the Humanities, The Hebrew University. Her dissertation focuses on developing a method for analyzing archeological engraving techniques, using the "Chariots" engravnig at the Timna site as a study case.
