  Belen Samuel is a Zimbabwean-born Eritrean settler with migration experiences as a refugee, who currently exists on Treaty 6 territory. Over the past thirteen years and continuing, she dedicates her energy towards community work centering: migration issues amongst Black and people of colour, Indigenous and refugee populations experiences/realities of homelessness. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and Middle Eastern and African Studies and is pursuing a Masters of Education in Educational and Policy Studies. She currently develops policies and procedures, such as the contribution of anti-racism education, for a non-profit organization that supports individuals with disabilities.
