  Dr. Watson is Associate Professor and Director of Doctoral Education in the Department of Educational Leadership, Policy, and Instructional Technology at Central Connecticut State University. He has worked at CCSU for 13 years and was previously an archaeologist who worked in Italy and the American Southwest. Sheldon's teaching focuses on transformative adult learning, the sociology of education, and humanistic research methods. His personal research is centered on diverse learners and their families, adult learning, and theories of social interaction. He has a passionate interest in developing both educational and community capacity to promote equitable social change.
