  I am born in Japan in 1958, and 60 years old. I am a professor of social work and the chair of the Department of Social Services at Sophia University in Tokyo. I teach various subjects including social work with groups, community social work, social work practicum, and qualiative inquiry. As a researcher, I have been involved in many self-help groups including parent organisations of sick children, family survivors of suicide, and alcoholics.
