Thomas Simonds is assistant professor and associate chair of education at Creighton University in Omaha, NE, USA. He holds master's degrees from Gonzaga University and Boston College, and a doctoral degree in education from the University of San Francisco. He also holds a divinty degree from Weston Jesuit School of Theology, and is a Catholic priest.
Dr. Simonds has published a number of research articles in peer-reviewed journals in the areas of school violence prevention and faith-based values education. His published works include two books: Advent and Christmas Reflections: Ideas for Teaching the Catholic Faith in the Home, School, and Parish, and School Violence Prevention Workbook: Stopping Harassment and Hazing. Dr. Simonds has presented his scholarly work at a number of national and regional conferences in the United States, and has also directed graduate and undergraduate students in research work.
