Tek Maraseni is the Deputy Director (Operation) with the Australian Centre for Sustainable Catchments and is working in the areas of climate change adaptation, mitigation, and greenhouse gas emissions accounting/modelling. He completed a double BSc (Science and Forestry) in Nepal (1985-1991), and gained his MSc in Natural Resources Management from Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand, where he was awarded a gold medal for his MSc. His PhD on the carbon sequestration potential of different land use systems was completed at the University of Southern Queensland, Australia in 2007. His is the recipient of numerous awards and has over 60 publications in the last 5 years, 15 of which are published, in press or under review during the last 15 months.
