  Raised in the Chicago suburbs, I moved to Mexico after undergrad to serve the poor and build houses for low-income families with an international Chrsitian missions organization. I am passionate about discovering new ways of involving the poor in their own development and empowering them to create positive change in their communities. During my time in Mexico, I also have pioneered a Library Bus program, which provides access to books, promotes literacy, and engages children in reading programs in underdeveloped communities.
