Sharon Brookshaw has completed a BSc(Hons) in archaeology from Durham University, then an MA and PhD at the International Centre for Cultural and Heritage Studies, University of Newcastle upon Tyne. She worked in the museum sector before moving to her current post in the research office at the University of Gloucestershire in 2008. She is a member of the Society for the Study of Childhood in the Past (SSCIP) and the Society for the History of Childhood and Youth (SHCY).
