Graduating from Eastern Washington University in spring 2015 of Interdisciplinary Studies in Philosophy and Art, my research interests are driven by a fascination with Romantic philosophy, aspects of German Idealism, and their influence in Aesthetics--notably their contributions to photography and aphoristic writing. I am especially interested in the birth of ideas in art and philosophy and how those ideas grow to impact the cultural landscape. “Pine: A Maieutic Exhibition” will show in May 2015 in downtown Spokane, WA along with the printing of the accompanying booklet which includes a full length introductory essay, and the full collection of original aphorisms and original photography. My graduate studies at the Pacific Northwest College of Art will begin in autumn of 2015 for their Master of Arts in Critical Theory and Creative Research. I hope to contribute writing and a body of art work that would encourage a revival of academic interest in the Romantic philosophies, as well as teaching at the post-secondary level, and producing art professionally.
