...MoreSarah Jayne Hitt holds a Ph.D. in Literary Studies with a focus in Literature of the American West, and has been a member of the Teaching Faculty at the Colorado School of Mines for the past five years. In this role, she has coordinated the first year required course in ethics and communication, taught courses in literature and creative non-fiction, acted as Director of the Writing Center, and now serves as Associate Director of the Honors Program, which acts as a small liberal arts college within the larger STEM university. Sarah leads a cohort of six faculty members who teach the multidisciplinary First Year Honors course, and also teaches Honors courses in Literature and the Modern World, and Water and the West.
