Robyn Autry is Chair of the Sociology Department at Wesleyan University in Connecticut. She is an interpretive sociologist with broad interests in collective memory, racial identity, and art. Her book Desegregating the Past compares representations of race, nation, and conflict across historical museums in the United States and South Africa (2017). Her work has appeared in several journals including Visual Studies, Theory and Society, and Museum and Society.
