The Perfect Mistake

We were finally here, at the festival. My mum and I had been looking forward to this festival since I was one. Now I'm three, and we're going to have a blast. As we walked in we had no idea what to do first. All I could think of was winning that beautiful, fluffy, unicorn.

"Come on Sweetie," said Gypsy.

"Mummy, mummy look, look over d," I said exitedly.

"What is it Leo," asked Gypsy.

"Unicorn, unicorn mummy," I said like I couldn't live without it

."I don't know," Gypsy said.

"Please mummy pretty, pretty please. I'll take care of it I promise mummy please," I begged.

"Okay, okay. Sapphire I'll do it," Gypsy said. She through the darts over and over again but kept on missing. Pop!"Yes, honey did you see that?!" shouted Gypsy, "I got a balloon sweetheart.

"Here you go, you won a compass,"said the man at the stall politely.

"Thank you so much," Gypsy said politely.

"But mummy I wanted the unicorn!" I wined in an upset tone.

"No, no sweetheart Leo this is way more valuable than any unicorn" Gypsy said convincingly,"you see, this has the power to make sure you always find you way home, no matter where you are. Okay lets go to the merry go round" said Gypsy trying to make me feel better.

"Yay" I replied with the biggest smile on my face. As I walked with my mum I accidently dropped my compass and...

Ran after it. When I finally picked it up from of the ground and looked around I had no idea where I was. "Mum, where are you. Mummy?!" I yelped. Someone took me straight to the cops and the cops took me to their car in the centre of the festival.

"Okay kid what's your name and how old are you?" the cop said calmly,

"M, my name Sapphire and I, I three many old," I stuttered,

"who are you looking for and whats your last name, the name after your middle name?" the cop asked politely, being descriptive

"Um my mum's name Gypsy. Um uh but I don't um (mumbling)" I said very scared.

"Stop for a moment, take a breath and start again, okay... (three minutes later) okay now you ready to tell me what you were going to say" the cop explained,

"okay" I replied, taking a deep breathe,

"now what were you going to say?" asked the cop,

"um uh but I don't remember the name after my middle name." I replied. That was the worst day of my life. I was put up for adoption, but I didn't complain, I didn't solk, I didn't cry. I moved into my first ever foster home.

(Today)

"Where's the bomb!?" demanded the cop,

"um uh he put the bomb in through that door, this way" I replied.

"There's no bomb in here" they said softly and confused as I ran towards them and locked the door,

"sorry needed to get a car somewhere!" I yelled apologising,

"oi you better not eat my donuts and cake, it wasn't cheap!" the cop demanded. I drove away to 22 aces drive.

"Ding ding" went the door bell.

"Hi I'm looking for someone," I said politely.

"Well whoever you are, you won't find them here," said the person in the house.

"You kid, stop where you are!" screamed the cops, " you ate my food". He argued as he pushed me into the cop car. As we were driving I demanded to see my lawyer,"Okay but first i'm taking you to the station to write a report," he said. "Hey, boss I got someone,"

"Oh, yeah who? Hey kid how's the new fosterhome," the cheif of police asked remembering who I was.

"Um uh we better get going," the cop said in a hurry. So after a few minutes we arived at my lawyer was then a man and woman showed up.

" Who are they?" I asked furiously.

"They are a couple who take in orphans and they want to take care of you, so be nice and just give them a chance," my lawyer said convincingly. So after getting to know them for five minutes I got in the car and the people took me to their huge house and in front of me I saw 15 kids. 5 were under the age of 5, another 5 were between the age of 5 and 12, and the rest were 12-18.

I had finally found the family that I had always dreamt of, but with a much bigger twist. This is gonna be the biggest roller coaster of my life!
