Homework should be banned. Because it actually does nothing to help them learn the content, it takes time away from them to do important stuff like spend that time with their family, kids are actually getting worse grades because of the lack of sleep.

Studies have been done that show that kids doing homework does not help them learn the content that they are being taught. This isn't good because its taking important time away from students to do stuff that's absolutley useless.

Most kids don't have any time to do homework, the averrage amount of sleep that teenagers get is 7 hours and 15 minutes that means we're down to 17 hours than kids have to go to school which takes 6 hours we're down to 11 hours some most kids have after school activities on average these activities take 2 hours we're down to 9 hours most high school students have 8 classes each classes homework takes an hour you don't have to do homework for PE so we're down to 2 hours kids only get 2 hours a day to do things experts say that kids should spend 3 hours outside per day so kids aren't getting enough sun this causes vitamin d deficiency this is obviously not good 

Kids are actually getting worse grades because they are staying up late making them tired which makes it harder to focus and remember when you stay up late and lose sleep it is hard to focus and remember which is not good so not only is homework bad for kids its making them worse at school 

However, if kids don't pay attention in class homework gives them a second chance to learn it sometime homework can be good it gives kids a second chance to learn the content and sometimes prepare for a test 

Homework should be banned because it is useless, hard and time consuming it does not help students learn they dont have enough time and its actually bad for developing children and teenagers
