Materials

  • A fenced enclosure
  • Meat such as vole or mouse
  • A dog house
  • Toys
  • Food and water bowls
  • Litter box
  • Shade form the sun

Procedure

  1. First, you need to get ready for your new arctic fox. Prepare your cage, which should be an area of at least 100 square feet. You must dig it 3 metres underground as well. Surround it in fences and its safe for your little friend.
  2. Once the hard part is over, buy some meat for your fox to eat. Foxes prefer to eat meats such as mouse or vole, but they are actually omnivores. Allthough, don't assume everything is safe. Some foods you should never feed your fox are

    Avocados
    Caffeine
    Chocolate
    Grapes and raisins
    Green eggplants
    Peppers
    Tomatoes
    Green potatoes
    Macadamia and Walnuts
Pits and seeds from apples, cherries, and peaches
    Xylitol

  3. Include toys and a dog house for your fox to keep it comfortable and happy.

  4. When your fox arrives, gently let it explore its new home. When it's finally ready to feel comfortable around you, you can let it out of its enclosure and into your house.

  5. When you get to the comfort stage, pet proof your house. At first, your fox will only destroy things you need, so be sure to keep those out of reach. I recommend hiding cords, or you'll never charge your phone again.

  6. Make sure it gets lots of love and attention, as domestic foxes can act like a puppy when its happy around you. Pat it and play with it to keep it entertained.

  7. Just like any pet, you have to toilet train it. A fox is a mix between a cat and a dog, so you have to teach it to do its business in a litter box. When it decides to do it outside the annual task of picking up fox droppings is your honour. Congratulations! Put them into a compost bin when you have lived out the horror.

  8.  Put out bowls of water and food for your fox to eat.

  9. Use a brush to groom your fox. It makes them happy.

  10. If you want to make your arctic fox completely comfortable, put the air conditioning to around 17 degrees celsius.
Foxes love to jump into white snow, so if you have white blankets, You might see this in your house.
They are full of energy, it needs to stay exercised.
Foxes love to forage. Give it something to explore for treats or food.
