  Robert Benson is a doctoral candidate at the Freie University of Berlin and a scholarship holder at the Berlin Social Science Center (WZB). His research focuses on the institutional and normative challenges posed by globalization, with a particular focus on international organizations, the societal impacts of income inequality, deliberative democarcy and popular social movements. Prior to Berlin, Robert worked as a policy analyst for the Organization of Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in Paris, France where he  authored and co-authored numerous development outlooks for non-OECD member countries. Robert holds an MSc. from the London School of Economics and Political Science and an MA. in International Relations from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. He grew up in Boston Massachusetts.
