...MoreA native of Richmond, Va., Raja Rahim is a third-year doctoral student in the Department of History at the University of Florida. Prior to her arrival to UF, Rahim earned her Bachelors of Arts (2012) and Masters of Arts (2015) degrees in History from North Carolina Central University. As an American historian, she focuses on African American history and Sport History, where she specifically looks at the participation of Black Americans in the development of American sports culture. Her current research examines the Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) sports during the Jim Crow era.
