Dr Philip Breedon is a Reader in Smart Technologies within the College of Art and Design at the Nottingham Trent University. He leads the Design for Health and Wellbeing research group and is course leader for the Postgraduate Smart Design programmes. He is a member of the editorial board for a number of journal publications and is chair for a Trans-European biomaterials special interest group and the biennial Smart Design international conferences.
His research interests and latest projects centre on new and emerging technologies, and includes wearable technologies, additive manufacturing and investigative research related to the utilisation of ‘smart materials’ for medical devices.
