Ochieng Aoyi is a professor of chemical engineering and director of a centre of excellence at the Vaal University of Technology, South Africa. He has published largely in the fields of hydrodynamics, wastewater management and bioenergy. His research focuses on water/wastewater and renewable energy. He is the director the Centre for Renewable Energy and Water. He has got about 20 years of research and teaching experienced gained from different universities spread across the globe (Kenya, Tanzania, China, Australia, Germany and South Africa). He has worked with people from different cultures and speaks English, Chinese, Kiswahili, French and Dholuo. He is a regular reviewer for 18 internationally accredited journals based in different parts in the world. He is currently supervising 16 postgraduate students (MSc and PhD).
