Currently serves as a Food and Beverage Specialist under the product development and marketing department at South African Airways (SAA). Her responsibilities are for the creation of in-flight food and beverage meal concepts, product specifications and product sourcing, menu development, caterer management, food safety audits and food quality control for all of SAAs food products (in-flight and in the lounges). She has experience in airline operations and customer service as she formed part of international cabin crew members, who have won accolades such as being the best cabin crew in Africa, maintaining SAAs 4 star rating and maintaining SAAs status as the best airline into Africa through excellent hospitality and commendable service standards. She has previous experiences in hospital food services, fast food restaurant food services, facility management, radio presenting, research, academic conference attendances and participation in operations research projects conducted by SAA, thus a multidimensional individual.
In her studies, she has conducted research in food service procedures and policies in the airline industry and am currently taking a topic in food waste management for a Masters in Management Sciences (MSc) qualification.
