  I am a music therapy clinician turned educator with more than 25 years of clinical experience working in mental health and medical settings. My research interests include the role of emotions in the clinical process, medical applications of music therapy, music therapy with chronic pain and chronic illness, professional collaboration, and professional supervision. I regularly present and teach continuing education workshops throughout the U.S.A and internationally. I have published in numerous professional journals, have authored several book chapters, and just recently released a co-authored book entitled Introduction to Music Therapy Practice. I am currently Associate Professor and Director of Music Therapy at the Purdue University Fort Wayne School of Music.
