...MoreNico Roenpagel, Ph.D., studies the intersection of art experience, spirituality, contemplative practices, and compassion in secular education environments. Originally from Germany, he recently completed his doctoral research at the University of New South Wales, Sydney, funded by a scholarship from the Australian government. Nico has been a practitioner of yoga, dance, and meditation since high school; he also explores the integration of contemplative methods into university settings. In 2014, Nico co-convened the first conference in Australia dedicated to contemplative approaches to higher education. He currently works on a book on sacred partnership.
