Úna Moynihan is a graduate of Thomond College of Education where she studied Physical Education and Mathematics. She also completed a MA in the University of Limerick. Úna was employed in youth work and prison education before moving to the Institute of Technology Tralee in 1994, where she teaches in the Health and Leisure Department. Her subject areas are; sports development, community development and policy and planning. Her research interests include human development through sport and sport policy. At the core of this work is investigating the scope of organizations to optimize the quality of the sporting experience for all – with a particular interest in children and young people.
