Senior lecturer in the School of Religion, Philosophy and Classics at the University of Kwazulu-Natal, Pietermaritzburg Campus. He teaches African Ethics, Business Ethics, Comparative and Applied Ethics. He was the first academic to introduce the teaching of African ethics as a distinct discipline at an African University. In 2009 he edited and published the first anthology in African Ethics called; AFRICAN ETHICS:AN ANTHOLOGY OF COMPARATIVE AND APPLIED ETHICS. The Dr also published many journal articles and book chapters on ethics from a multidisciplinary perspective. Currently his research interests are on the Africanisation and transformation of the curriculum. In particular, the development of African Ethics, remains his main area of interest. In 2009 Dr Murove was rated as a researcher by the South African National Research Foundation (NRF). Currently he also has completed writing a book titled AFRICAN MORAL CONSCIOUSNESS which was sponsored by the South African Norwegian Embassy and published by Austin Macauley Publishers in 2016.
