After graduating with a Master of Business, in the field of International Sport and Recreation Management, from Queensland University in Australia, I worked as a lecturer at Sultan Qaboos University in Oman (SQU) since December, 2009. I have been teaching different courses at Physical Education Department in College of Education which took practical and theoretical format. In 2013, I received a scholarship from my employer to do my PhD. Hence, I started my PhD journey at Loughborough University, UK. My thesis title is "Discourses on Modernization Agendas in Sport Policy in Oman since 1970", and I am currently at the end of my third year. My research interests includes sport and development, sport and culture, and modernization of sport. Currently, I am researching four case studies at professional and community sport levels while professionalization of football in Oman is on my agenda for future publication.
