Muriel Adams is an Arizona State University PhD student in the School of Sustainability. Her focus is on social justice and building sustainable communities. She has an MBA and Masters in Organizational Leadership from Dominican University in River Forest, Illinois. She received her Bachelor degree in Finance from the University of Illinois at the Champaign/Urbana campus. Ms. Adams has been an adjunct professor for Dominican University teaching organizational development and for Governors State University in University Park, Illinois teaching leadership, policy and procedure and several other subjects for the criminal justice department. She has served on the advisory board for Dominican University’s Brennan School of Business. She is also a restorative justice facilitator. She has facilitated circles in the juvenile detention center in Chicago with boys being tried as adults, in the Cook county jail and in communities where there are challenges between the community and the police.
