Mohammed Sharif is currently professor of Civil Engineering at Jamia Millia Islamia Central University in New Delhi. He is a gold medalist from Jamia Millia Islamia, as well as Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee. He received his PhD degree from the University of Edinburgh in 1999. His PhD program was funded through Overseas Research Scholar Award, administered by the Scottish Council for Higher education. Prof. Sharif has over twenty two years of research, teaching and consulting experience in water resources management. His primary research interest focuses on hydro-climatology, and application of the systems approach to management of complex water systems. From 2002-2203, Prof. Sharif worked at the University of Waterloo on a prestigious project on climate change impact assessment sponsored by the Canadian Foundation for Climate and Atmospheric Sciences. In 2009, he took up a visiting faculty position at the Asian Institute of Technology in Bangkok. During 2010-2011, he worked as a commonwealth fellow at Newcastle University in the United Kingdom.
